The waitress would get 5 stars but the bartender, not even 1. Needless to say, we didn't return to this place during the week we stayed on Siesta Key. I saw him be rude to other customers as well. The waitress got the game back on for me but the bartender could not have been more unprofessional. He replies, "You don't have to be an a.hole about it." If I didn't want to see the end of the game, I probably would have punched him. I asked what he was doing, as I had got there early and watched the entire game to this point. Some young kid with a beard, I didnt catch his name. But, with about 2 minutes left in a close game, the bartender decides to change the channel on my game. Obviously, we ran up a decent sized bill. We had 12 people there, eating and drinking during the whole game. I got there early so I could get the staff to put my team's game on one of the smaller tv's, as it is not a local team. Went to The Beach Club on a Sunday two weeks ago to watch football with friends visiting from New York. I really hope in went on hip hop night or something because the place has potential. I bet this bar was great at one time but all the girls were probably tired of being cat called and harassed by this demographic. I'm not trying to run into gang members on vacation, I deal with that at home which is why I went on vacation. Some will say this is a racist response but it is not, it's the truth. It is a very rowdy lower class bar that has an opposite demographic than what you would expect. In closing the beach bar is exactly the opposite of the town it is in. The building itself was nice and could have a great vibe if the DJ didn't play gangster rap and if the bouncers didn't allowed obvious thugs and gang members to enter. There were no females on the dance floor and it was packed with men. There were literally 8 females who all stood of to the side and looked afraid for there lives. It was a very rowdy and low class atmosphere. It was jam packed with those that subscribe to the hip hop culture. The exterior of the place was fitting for the area and well kept but I was apprehensive to go Inside after that. Upon arrival at around 11pm a bouncer just got done kicking out a shirtless and combative patron. I feel as if the beautiful landscape during the day is only the tourists and the actual population is pretty close to criminal. Located real close to Americas #1 beach, The Beach Club kind of ruined my view of the place. The Beach Club Management visited the Sarasota area on vacation and was in awe by how beautiful and upscale the area was. Thank you so much for taking the time to bring this situation to our attention and if there is anything else we can do to make up for this misunderstanding, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We hope this misunderstanding won’t keep you from visiting our great island in the future and hope you will give us the opportunity to give you a better experience here at The Beach Club. It is unacceptable to fail even once in that endeavor. We want every visitor to have a great experience at The Beach Club, as well as Siesta Key. So believe us when we say how seriously we take the situation in question. Maintaining a great relationship with all our tourists is paramount in keeping The Beach Club and Siesta Key, FL one of the best places to visit. We would never insult or try to take advantage of any of our guests from around the world. The bartender in question has been suspended and all other staff have been apprized of the situation.Īgain we are extremely sorry for the miscommunication and we want to apologize if your son and his friend felt cheated. The situation was not handled properly and for that we apologize. There was a miscommunication with the bartender and the guests that evening, your son in particular.
